What File Types Do We Accept?

Choosing the correct file format is one of the easiest ways to ensure your artwork prints exactly as you intended. While we accept a range of file types, some formats produce much better results than others.

In this guide, we’ll explain which file types we accept, which we recommend, and why they matter when preparing your artwork for print.

Our Recommended File Types

We accept the following artwork formats:

  • PDF (Recommended)
  • AI (Adobe Illustrator)
  • EPS
  • PSD (Adobe Photoshop)
  • PNG
  • JPG / JPEG
  • SVG (where appropriate)

Whenever possible, we recommend supplying your artwork as a high-quality PDF, as this format preserves fonts, layout, colours and image quality.

PDF (Our Preferred Format)

PDF files are the industry standard for professional printing.

They are ideal because they:

  • Preserve your layout and formatting
  • Maintain high image quality
  • Embed fonts correctly
  • Support CMYK colour profiles
  • Reduce the risk of compatibility issues

If you have the option to export your artwork as a print-ready PDF, this is always our preferred choice.

AI (Adobe Illustrator)

Adobe Illustrator files are perfect for vector-based artwork such as:

  • Logos
  • Business cards
  • Flyers
  • Leaflets
  • Posters
  • Signage

Vector artwork can be scaled to any size without losing quality, making AI files an excellent choice for professional printing.

EPS

EPS is another vector file format commonly used for logos and illustrations.

Like AI files, EPS artwork can be enlarged without becoming blurry, making it ideal for large-format printing such as banners, exhibition displays and signage.

PSD (Adobe Photoshop)

We also accept Adobe Photoshop files.

If you’re submitting a PSD file, we recommend:

  • Keeping the document at full size
  • Using a resolution of 300 DPI
  • Including bleed where required
  • Supplying any linked assets if requested

PNG

PNG files are suitable for many printed products, particularly when exported at a high resolution.

PNG files are often used for:

  • Simple graphics
  • Logos
  • Social media artwork
  • Small print jobs

Please ensure your PNG is exported at the correct dimensions and is of sufficient quality for printing.

JPG / JPEG

JPG files are widely accepted but should be used with care.

Because JPG files use compression, repeatedly saving them can reduce image quality.

For the best results:

  • Export at the highest quality setting
  • Avoid repeatedly editing and saving the same JPG
  • Use a high-resolution original whenever possible

SVG

SVG files are vector graphics that are commonly used for logos, icons and illustrations.

They provide excellent quality and can be scaled without losing sharpness, making them suitable for many print applications.

File Types We Don’t Recommend

To achieve the highest print quality, we recommend avoiding:

  • Screenshots
  • Images downloaded from social media
  • Microsoft Word documents
  • Low-resolution web images
  • Photos taken of printed documents
  • Small images stretched to larger sizes

These files often result in blurry or pixelated prints.

Not Sure If Your File Is Suitable?

If you’re unsure whether your artwork is ready for print, don’t worry.

Simply upload your file when placing your order, and if we identify any issues that could affect the final result, we’ll let you know before production begins.

Our goal is to make the process as straightforward as possible while ensuring every print meets a professional standard.

Quick Checklist Before Uploading

Before submitting your artwork, make sure that:

  • Your file is one of the accepted formats listed above.
  • The artwork is high resolution.
  • Colours are prepared for print where possible.
  • Fonts have been embedded or outlined (if applicable).
  • The artwork is the correct size for your chosen product.
  • Bleed has been included where required.

Following these simple steps helps ensure your order moves smoothly into production and delivers the best possible print quality.
